Transporters, heavy transporters and autonomous vehicles on rails are mobile platforms used to transport all types of goods. The transport surface can be flat, with support plates, or specific elements can be integrated, such as double wedge brackets to support rounds such as ferrules or coils in the direction of travel or laterally, and one or more belts with anti-roll system tape. Transporters, heavy transporters and autonomous vehicles on rails are mobile platforms used to transport all types of goods. The transport surface can be flat, with support plates, or specific elements can be integrated, such as double wedge brackets to support rounds such as ferrules or coils in the direction of travel or laterally, and one or more belts with anti-roll system tape. Due to their versatility, they have limitless fields of application in heavy industry, automotive molds, steel mills, wind power and more.
Depending on the wheel type, there are different classifications of transfer vehicles:
– Self-propelled trailer mounted on track. There are straight tracks, curved tracks, and even intersecting other tracks.
– On floors with urethane wheels (Vulkollan type), usually Shore 85ºA inside and large blocks of rubber outside.
– Conventional movement of one steering axle and the other drive axle (rear-wheel drive type).
– Two-axis motion, two axes execute commands and motors at the same time.
– Full range of motion (multi-wheeled models), multiple sets of wheels, including independent traction and rotation, allowing movement in all directions.
Classification by power type:
– Power is supplied through the hose reel. For short strokes, there is a socket at one end; for long strokes, there is a socket at the center. You can even motorize the reels for extended periods of time.
– Powered by battery. Size depends on expected usage time. Full-shift charging is best, although flotation charging systems with charging stations are available
– Powered by rails. The track provides safe power to support the work of the transfer vehicle, and is not limited by the time of use, and can work for a long time.
